We. spent a year to set up and we finally launched in October 2006. The idea was born over a supposedly quiet drink after work where the conversation revolved around the cost of selling a house and dealing with those dreaded estate agents.
A few glasses down and much animated discussion later we realised that you could avoid the expense of estate agents by taking control yourself if you were just given the right means. So that got us thinking...
Let’s create a website where people can advertise their own homes with all the right functionality, advice and know how so that every London homeowner can save money and sell it themselves. And so we did.
The picture to your left is of us, the faces behind privateHQ.com and you’ll be pleased to know that we're not, nor ever have been estate agents. We're just a couple of young(ish) women who decided it was time to take a stand and try to make a difference in this unbelievably expensive world of property.
It’s a change to the norm we know but selling your house yourself isn't as hard as you think despite what you might have been lead to believe. Don't sleepwalk in to an estate agents - give it a go!
